High School Awards: Banquet for Exceptional Geographical Sciences High School Students
About the Awards
The University of Maryland's Department of Geographical Sciences created the Award for Exceptional Geographical Sciences Students to recognize and celebrate local high school students who excel in the geographical sciences. Student awardees, along with two guests and their nominating teacher, are invited to the recognition banquet to accept their award, celebrate their achievement and learn from our internationally-renowned professors about the ever-growing opportunities in the field of geographical sciences. We currently focus on Prince George's, Montgomery, Howard and Anne Arundel counties in addition to a few select private schools. If your school is interested in participating, contact Valeria Morales at vmorale2@umd.edu.
