Powell, Elisabeth

I am a PhD candidate working with Ralph Dubayah. I am interested in examining the impacts of sea level rise on coastal upland forests using LiDAR and other remote sensing techniques. I was awarded the NOAA Margaret Davidson Fellowship for years 2020-2022 to fund this research! This research will help determine if there are initial effects to the forest structure in areas of increased salt water inundation and provide information for wetland management.
