ForestSAT 2018 International Conference co-hosted by University of Maryland Department of Geographical Sciences
The ForestSAT 2018 Conference was hosted by the Department of Geographical Sciences at the University of Maryland. Taking place at the newly built Hotel at the University of Maryland it hosted over 400 guests for 50 sessions and more than 160 posters. Keynote speakers kicked off each day bright and early for a full schedule. Sessions were spread across four days with opportunities to share, network, and learn from peers in the field on ground-breaking topics. ForestSAT and the Department thank everyone for their support in making this year's conference a success.
The Association for Forest Spatial Analysis Technologies (ForestSAT), a non-profit professional organization, strives to promote cooperation among research organizations, universities, government agencies, and the private sector and foster a science-based understanding of how spatial analysis technologies can describe and monitor forested ecosystems.
