Dr. Julie Silva Named as a Philip Merrill Presidential Scholars Faculty Mentor

Dr. Julie Silva was recently recognized as a Philip Merrill Presidential Scholars Faculty Mentor. This honor is awarded to faculty members who had the greatest academic impact on undergraduate seniors who are named Philip Merrill Presidential Scholars. This year, rising senior in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Julia Reicin, was named a 2020-2021 Philip Merrill Presidential Scholar for her outstanding achievements throughout her academic career. In addition to recognizing the students, the Philip Merrill Presidential Scholars program honors the K-12 teachers and University of Maryland faculty selected by the students themselves who made a great impact on the student's academic career.
