Bio

Originally from Boston, I completed my Bachelor's in Geomatics at Carleton University in Ottawa, and masters at Copenhagen University in Denmark. My masters thesis focused on applying deep learning routines to very high resolution satellite imagery for the identification of unexploded ordnance in Ukraine. I am Co-PI on the NASA Rapid Response project "Artillery Craters and
Unexploded Ordnance Mapping in Ukraine using High Resolution Satellite Imagery" and Co-PI on the Airforce/DoD STTR project titled "Revolutionizing Space-Based ISR through Decentralized Systems & In-Orbit ML Computing for Near-Real-Time Intelligence" focusing on adapting machine learning capabilities to function onboard optical imaging satellites. I am also involved in the NASA LCLUC program, “Detecting and Mapping War-Induced Damage to Agricultural Fields in Ukraine using Multi-Modal Remote Sensing Data”. Finally, I am a member of the NASA Harvest program, aiding conflict research in Ukraine and Recently in Sub-Saharan Africa.
