The Second Annual Global Health & Culture Lecture: A Tale of Two Global Healths
We're happy to announce that the 2nd annual Global Health & Culture Lecture Series will be held at the Grand Ballroom Lounge in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union on Wednesday, April 12, from 2-3:30PM and will include a light reception from 3-3:30PM.
Our speaker Dr. Nicole Bates, Deputy Director of Global Policy & Advocacy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Affiliate Associate Professor at the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington, will give a talk titled, "A Tale of Two Global Healths." Dean Boris Lushniak from the School of Public Health will be giving the welcoming remarks.
The annual lecture facilitates interdisciplinary engagements focused on the social context of health among the University of Maryland College Park community, especially undergraduate students. The Global Health & Culture Lecture Series is a collaborative effort between the Department of Anthropology, the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and the School of Public Health.
We look forward to seeing you there! For more details, please see flyer.
