Bio
Hannah Smith is Lecturer in the Cultural and Heritage Resource Management graduate program and teaches ANTH744: Collections, Data Management, and Cultural Materials Preservation. Mx. Smith is the Laboratory Supervisor in TRC’s Chapel Hill, North Carolina office and has over ten years of experience in cultural resource investigations. They completed their MA in Anthropology at East Carolina University in 2014, with a thesis focused on the conservation needs of artifacts from Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson, a coastal North Carolina state historic site. They have experience in archaeological conservation, laboratory analysis of historic finds, curation, archival, deed, and genealogical research, and educational outreach and the creation of outreach materials related to archaeology.
