Konzak, Sandra Massey

Bio

Ms. Konzak, MA, RPA, is Lecturer in the Cultural and Heritage Resource Management graduate program, and teaches the course ANTH 744: Collections, Data Management, and Cultural Materials Preservation. She has worked in the field of Cultural Resources Management in California for nearly twenty years. She currently serves as the collections manager for the David A. Fredrickson Archaeological Collections Facility, and is a staff archaeologist and lab coordinator at the Anthropological Studies Center, Sonoma State University. Her experience involves many aspects of California archaeology, including excavation, survey, artifact analysis, and historical research. Although she specializes in historical archaeology, she works frequently with prehistoric materials, NAGPRA collections, and facilitates tribal projects and repatriations. In her current position as collections manager, she directs both undergraduate and graduate student internships in collections management, analysis, data entry, and artifact processing. Ms. Konzak received her MA in Cultural Resources Management from Sonoma State University in 2006.
