A. Lynn Bolles Ph.D. is Professor in the Department of Women’s Studies and an affiliate faculty member in Anthropology, African American Studies, Comparative Literature and American Studies at the University of Maryland College ParkBolles authored “Telling the Story Straight: Black Feminist Intellectual Thought in Anthropology.” Transforming Anthropology 21:1; 57-71,  “Katherine Dunham’s first journey in Anthropology” in Katherine Dunham (2014), edited by Elizabeth Chin and numerous books and articlesBolles is past president of the Caribbean Studies Association, The Association for Feminist Anthropology and the Society for the Anthropology of North America.  She received the 2013 “Legacy Award” from the Association of Black Anthropology.
